After finishing the Ijen hike and getting some rest at your accommodation, you’ll begin the overnight transfer back to Malang around 17:00-19:00. The long-distance journey takes approximately 8–10 hours by car, depending on traffic and road conditions. You’ll arrive in Malang early the next morning.
🚶♀️ 03:00 – 08:00 | Rest Before the Tour Begins
Upon arriving in Malang early in the morning, you’ll have time to rest and freshen up at your accommodation or designated rest stop. This short break allows you to recover from the overnight journey before starting the exciting Tumpak Sewu Waterfall tour later in the morning.
🚐 08:00 – 09:00 | Pick-up from Malang
We’ll start your journey with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Malang City. Whether you’re staying at a hostel, hotel, or guesthouse, our team will contact you before arrival to make sure everything runs smoothly. Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes and a change of clothes, things might get wet!
🛣️ 09:00 – 11:00 | Drive to Tumpak Sewu Area
Enjoy a comfortable ride through the East Java countryside as we make our way to Lumajang Regency, home of Tumpak Sewu. Along the way, take in the view of rice fields, mountains, and quiet villages. It’s a peaceful drive that builds the excitement for the hike ahead.
🌳 11:00 – 14:00 | Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Exploration
Once we arrive, the adventure begins! Hike down to the waterfall base through a forest trail and small rivers. It’s a moderately challenging trek, but the view at the bottom is 100% worth it. You’ll have time to explore the falls, take photos, and enjoy the raw beauty of nature up close. Don’t worry, your guide will ensure everything is safe and enjoyable along the way.
🚗 14:00 – 16:00 | Return to Malang
After drying off and resting for a bit, we’ll begin the drive back to Malang City. Expect to arrive around 4–5 PM, just in time to relax, shower, or head out for dinner. The perfect end to a refreshing and unforgettable day in nature.
